ENVY’s staff and clients triumphed at the Broadcast Awards 2013, held last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel and hosted by Rob Brydon.
We were delighted to have scooped ‘Best Post Production House’ for the 4th time in seven years, despite fierce competition from the other finalists. The judges gave the award to the post house which they felt 'had provided outstanding service, shown the ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines and provided creative solutions for programme makers'. One of the judges acknowledged our ability to provide the right mix of 'a creative, supportive environment' together with an ability to 'demystify technology and make it work for the producer'. Another of the judges commented on our 'impressive body of work'.
The celebrations continued as four projects posted at ENVY also walked away with the illustrious awards. 7/7 One Day in London (Minnow Films for BBC1) was awarded ‘Best Documentary Programme’, whilst Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields: War Crimes Unpunished (ITN productions for C4) was honoured with the ‘Best News/Current Affairs Programme’ trophy. Dynamo: Mission Impossible (Phil McIntyre Entertainment for Watch) walked away with ‘Best Entertainment Programme’, and Holy Flying Circus (Hillbilly Television for BBC) came top in the ‘Best Original Programme’ category.
We would like to congratulate all the winners and thank all our clients and staff for making this happen – what a fantastic start to the year!
