The Squads

ENVY returned to Paddington Recreation Ground for their second annual football match between Tom Morgan’s Pink Team and Dave Cadle’s Yellow Team. In the previous outing, the Pink team walked away 4-3 winners, leaving DC wanting revenge – but with a group of new faces and reshuffled team, he’d finally get his chance to even the score.

Team Tom won the game 3-1, a brace from Chris Akinyemi and a goal from Player of the Match, Mike Nugent saw off the attempts of Team Dave.

The Yellows had their chances in the game, including 2 missed penalties but struggled to break down the Pink defence.

Yellow Team goalkeeper, Dan Roberts also took a Player of the Match award after a catalogue of saves kept the scoreline respectable for large parts of the game.

There was a consolation for Team Dave as Offline Assistant Sam Sellors scored from the right flank to earn his team a goal in the final seconds of the match.
