Fun Facts
We thought we’d share some of the fun facts and statistics from the CAPTURE masterclass we had in April. The scale of what happens behind the scenes in production is genuinely remarkable.
It’s easy to focus on what we see on screen, but these figures are a powerful reminder of the sheer volume of data, organisation and precision required to make it all possible. Behind every production is a workflow working just as hard.
Hours Recorded
2,794 hours per show – that’s the equivalent of watching Oppenheimer 30,740 times (and a bit more). You could walk around the Earth in that time and still have time to watch it another 233 times.
Cards Backed Up
746 per show – if you stacked standard camera cards on top of each other, the pile would be around 60 feet taller than Big Ben. Laid flat, they would stretch across nine football pitches (or roughly ten Big Bens laid lengthways).
LTOs Written
Just under 28 LTOs per show – if you unspooled all the tape, it would take you about 0.25% of the way to the Moon, roughly the distance from London to Berlin.
Logs Created
417 logs per show – if each sheet took five seconds to print, it would take over two and a half years to print them all… or the equivalent of watching Oppenheimer 22,973 times (and a bit more).
