Post Production Runner

We are looking for a enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our Client Services team. The individual must have a strong desire to build a career in the Post Production industry.

Key Duties:

  • Assisting the Library department with media logistics
  • Providing clients and staff with refreshments along with any other ad hoc requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To respond to requests from clients and staff
  • Ensure the correct and efficient delivery of meals, drinks and refreshments
  • To ensure that the client areas remain tidy and presentable at all times
  • To cover Reception when necessary
  • To ensure prompt delivery of all internal mail around the Envy facilities
  • Checking and signing off deliveries and orders
  • Ensuring recycling is maintained weekly
  • Responsible for petty cash
  • Basic administration duties
  • Generally assisting with the smooth running and presentation of the facility

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Previous experience of working within a client services environment
  • Experience in hospitality would be an advantage
  • Previous running experience would be an advantage
  • Experience of liaising directly with clients
  • Ability to perform well within a pressurised environment
  • Experience of working within a team

About the Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creation of HD/UHD SDR/HDR broadcast master files – including AS11, ProRes and IMF.
  • File validation AQC and eyeball QC ensuring the integrity and quality of final deliverables.
  • Interpretation and implementation of Broadcast /VOD technical specifications.
  • Upload final deliverables and archive material to various broadcaster platforms inc Aspera and Media Shuttle.
  • Export and upload of viewing files.
  • Data management and general housekeeping of archival systems.
  • Training of junior-level staff members.

 

About You

Key Skills and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have solid MCR experience in an operational role (preferably in broadcast deliverables) with a broad technical skill-set and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines both alone and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using Vantage, VidChecker, Colorfront Transkoder and Alchemist to create and check deliverables is required.
  • Perform AQC checks for DPP / file deliveries and eyeball QC reviews, accurately input, edit and check metadata and deliver programmes to broadcasters for transmission.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and MAM systems, broadcast line playout and an understanding of UHD HDR (PQ/HLG/Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos/5.1 audio) workflows including Amazon/Netflix/Disney deliveries would be preferred.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of digital file formats, compression and the various codecs used.
  • A good understanding of post-production workflows and best practice.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to build good relationships are key.

 

Please Note:

  • This is a shift based role. The successful candidate will be expected to work some evenings.
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill-set.

Grade Assistant

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our Grade and Online Department.

This role perfectly suites someone who is driven to progress into a Colourist role as you will have regular contact with the suites during your shift pattern.

Main Purpose:

You will be responsible for supporting our Baselight suites across Longform and Advertising as well as Online AVID Symphony and Flame support.

The Role:

Our Grade department operates across six Baselight suites capable of working at resolutions from HD up to 4K HDR and beyond.

You will often get the chance to work with our experienced team on large-scale multi-episodic productions as well as high end UHD/HDR projects and will get hands on experience working in our suites.

You will gain valuable working knowledge of the latest workflows in the industry and the chance to progress in a forward-thinking and fast-paced organisation.

What are we looking for?

You will need to have demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Conforming media in Baselight
  • Round tripping and rendering out media ready for Online
  • Setting up suite monitoring in preparation for grade sessions
  • Assisting Avid Symphony – Conforms and Pre grade
  • Experience in a machine room – you must be comfortable with all tapeless rushes formats with knowledge of encoding and file-based workflows.
  • QC’ing Masters for TX

Online MCR Assistant

We are looking for an Online MCR Assistant with experience supporting AVID to join our machine room team. Baselight and Flame experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
