Backhausen has been an iconic player in luxury fabric design and production over the past 170 years, encompassing an archive of 5,000 prints, iconic collaborations with architects and artists, as well as contemporary application of fabrics across interior design and lifestyle.
Blind Pig were tasked to bring to life the four iconic pillars of the brand, namely Heritage, Craftsmanship, Individuality and Sustainability. Borrowing from the handcrafted approach of their historic weaving technique, the four animations boast with hand-drawn illustrations, frame by frame animation and original music compositions.
The collaboration with Backhausen’s team and creative director Dr Louise Kiesling was not only inspiring but also a thoroughly enjoyable partnership.

They’ve crafted animation content for Netflix series (Stranger Things, Letter For The King, Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal), Disney (Car SOS, Marvel, DD90), ITV (Love Island, The Winter King), Channel 4 (The Kidnap of Angel Lynn). They also work in partnership with several DOOH media agencies producing large-scale experiential content for Piccadilly Circus, Time Square and other global landmark screens.
