Rioch Fitzpatrick
Dubbing Mixer
Rioch initially studied web design and web coding, but soon realised his true interest lay in sound and music. He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Audio Production, setting him on a path into audio post-production.
He joined ENVY in 2007 as a Runner with limited knowledge of television post, but a strong curiosity about audio. While running, he trained in the MCR and was soon promoted to Audio Assistant. During this time, he spent time with tracklayers and mixers, learning the creative and technical aspects of audio post-production in detail. He later progressed to Tracklayer and Voice-Over Recordist.
In order to become a Dubbing Mixer, Rioch volunteered to work weekends on a number of fast-turnaround current affairs programmes, including ‘Dispatches and Panorama’. This experience led to his transition into a full-time Dubbing Mixer, working across a broad range of content including travel, dating and comedy formats.
Recent projects include ‘Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends Series 2’, ‘Junior Back Off’ and ‘Genius Game’.
In his spare time, Rioch enjoys keeping fit, playing guitar, and navigating his commute to work by bike.
